Knutsford Heath The Heath, KnutsfordJohn Collins Firework Display This year, due to the Bank Holiday falling before May Day, the Grand Firework Display will take place on Sunday 7th May 2023. The date of this year's firework display has yet to be confirmed. The annual Grand Fireworks Display is provided by the kindness of John Collin’s Funfairs, to celebrate the Knutsford ‘Royal’ May Day. The display usually takes place on the Sunday, after May Day and at dusk on Knutsford Heath. Knutsford Town Centre Princess Street, Knutsford, Cheshire, United KingdomKnutsford ‘Royal’ May Day is the highlight of the town’s calendar and takes place every year on the first Saturday in May. However, in 2023 and due to the King's Coronation, May Day will take place the following week on 13th May. The procession through the town and the crowning of the May Queen began in 1864 by the Vicar of Knutsford, the Rev. Robert Clowes.
